Update on Miss Cameron

In case anyone was concerned, we have been back in Charleston/ Bristol Marina since April 28th. Slip 18 this time.
We had a good cruise from Fernandina back to Charleston. We left April 21st and again cuising with Mary and Larry/Ze Skunk.  We made several stops along the way that we wanted to, cruising back north.
Went into Brunswick Landing Marina. Nice town, had a farmers market and we were able to find some fresh vegetables. Walked the town and found a  fun place, Tipsey's to have a few drinks, and Fox's a popular pizza place with the locals.
Ze Skunk started having mechanical problems so we  stopped at Kilkenney Marina to find a mechanic. Very rustic, wood docks but nothing around. The only restaurant was closed on this day. Were not successful in finding anyone  to make repairs, so going to try and make it to Hinkley Yacht Services which is in Thunderbolt, the next day.
They were able to make it into Hinkley going very slow. Found a mechanic that knew what the problem was but had to order the part and have it overnighted.  It is a basic marina but good location to walk for dinner.
Back on the waterway, I haven't mention the horse flies that are in season and have been attacking us going through the marsh areas.  I do have two swatters which have come in handy.  We have also crossed several Sounds a few calm and a few fairly rough. I can't say I am used to them, but I am bettter prepared.
We are passing Hilton Head Harbour Marina which looks like a very nice area. Going to anchor in Skull Creek this evening. This is going to be our last night to anchor before we get to Charleston. Going across Port Royal Sound early this morning before it gets too rough one of our last till Charleston.
Last stop, Beaufort, SC for the day and night very nice marina and beautiful water front walking area. Walked around the town which is very historical and alot of nice shops and restaurants. We walked 4 blocks to get a free piece of chocolate, Larry said it was a little much. Had a fun day and evening. Looking forward to being back in Charleston for awhile.

Docked in Bristol Marina about 4:30 April 28th with a nice welcoming party of friends.
Since we have been back Janna came to pick us up and we spend a few weeks back in Atlanta going to end of the school year activates with our grandchildren. Visiting family and friends and of course checking in with Doctor's appointments. Our plan is to get several things done on the boat and start cruising again in a few months.
We have enjoyed our voyage south seeing so many different things and meeting some great new friends.
I am sorry it has taken me awhile to get back in our blog I think I got caught up with to many other things happening around me. We thank everyone for keeping up with our adventure.
