Just Wright!

We are pretty much settled in for the next three months at MM50 every thing is measured by the mile maker.  We are close to Publix , K-mart, Winn-Dixie, Walgreen's and several other necessities of life.  The one draw back is we only have our bikes which isn't bad for some good exercise. Dennis said he probably will be down to skin and bone by the time we leave? He has already lost 20 lbs, mostly due to not being on the road as he was. Beer consumption still the same!

We have meet alot of real nice people that have been coming to this marina for several years. They meet every night at the picnic tables for happy hour and have a potluck on Sundays.  Everyone is very social and friendly which has made it easy to feel at home. The first day we were here we saw a manatee going under all the boats. Dennis gave it some fresh water with the hose which they say you should not do, not sure why.  Pretty cool!  Dennis has found several people he can go fishing with. One goes every day, and supplies the fish for the potluck dinner on Sundays.

We are already counting the days till we fly to Atlanta is see our sweet grandchildren and of course the rest of family and friends.  That has been one of the hardest part missing all the fun things  we did during the Holiday season and shopping online for Chrismas gifts.

Wish everyone the BEST Hoilday Season and A Happy 2012.

Yea! Marathon

Just a brief update we are tied up and docked in Boatman's Sombrero in Marathon.  We made it
on our own.  It was a good cruise and we are still talking.
It is a nice marina very typical of the Keys area.  We have already walked to Publix we will get the bikes out tomorrow.
Just for the ones that  are keeping up with our miles it is 687.1 from Charleston, SC, water temp is 75 and we have already seen our first manatee in the marina going under the boats.

Having a beer and vodka cranberry.  I will blog more later.  Thanks for all your good wishes.
